Marina Romano is the principal and visionary of her Los Angeles design firm Sense Design. Since 1999, Marina provides a comprehensive design service for residential clients, commercial projects, real estate developers and hoteliers. Her international background has infused her design style with unique sophistication while creating refined, practical and comfortable living spaces. Through the use of distinctive textures, colors and exclusive materials, Marina blends contemporary design elements with an approachable luxury. Each space is a unique creation that translates the clients needs and desires into an environment that reflects and expands their personal interests.
Marina has the ability to transform living environments into elegantly edited spaces that are current yet timeless. She designed icon places in Los Angeles, such as the former house of famous NBA player Shaquille O’Neil, Spice Girl Mel B, TV host Trevor Noah, the Tangier Lounge Room, The Figueroa Hotel, Pete’s Cafe and exclusive mansions in Bel Air, Beverly Hills and Mulholland Estates.
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Marina studied Architecture at the National University of Buenos Aires, where she received her Bachelor in Science degree. She continued her studies in Los Angeles, California at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where she received a Masters in Science.
Her awards include First Place Italias cup, IDSA. Silver award on Product Design among others.
